Privacy Policy

This page explains what information https://arturstone.com collects from visitors, how it's used, and who it's shared with. This site is a simple content site — there are no user accounts, no payments, and no e-commerce, so the amount of personal information it touches is deliberately small.

Information we collect

Automatically, when you browse the site

https://arturstone.com uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive (e.g. from a search engine or YouTube), approximate geographic location derived from the IP address, device and browser type, and general session behaviour. Google Analytics does not log or store the visitor's individual IP address. This is aggregate, statistical data used to improve the site; it is not used to identify a specific visitor by name.

Analytics only runs if you accept it. On your first visit, a small banner asks whether to accept or reject analytics cookies. Google Analytics does not load — no cookie is set, no data is sent — until you click Accept; clicking Reject, or simply closing the banner, means it never loads for that visit. Your choice is remembered in your browser so the banner doesn't reappear.

Google's own use of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. Even after accepting, you can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or block cookies generally in your browser settings.

Information you choose to provide

If you use the contact form, the name, email address, message, and (on the partners page) product category and media kit request you enter are sent to our server and passed on by email to collab@arturstone.com through an email delivery service (SMTP2GO). We don't keep them in a database — the message exists as an email in our inbox and in the delivery service's short-term sending logs. You can also skip the form and email us directly; that email is handled like any other, subject to your own and Artur Stone's email providers' standard practices.

We do not collect passwords, payment card details, or government ID information anywhere on this site.

How information is used

• Analytics data is used to understand traffic and improve site content and navigation.
• Anything you email us directly is used only to respond to you.
• We do not use visitor data for targeted advertising, and we do not sell personal information to anyone.

Sharing

We use a small number of service providers to operate this site — including our hosting provider, our email provider, an email delivery service (SMTP2GO) that carries contact form messages to us, and Google Analytics (once you accept analytics cookies, as above). Each of them processes a limited amount of data (for example, IP address, request date, page requested, or the message you chose to send) simply to deliver the site or handle email. We don't share personal information with anyone for their own marketing purposes, and no other analytics, advertising, or tracking service is embedded on this site.

Data retention

Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings configured in Google Analytics. Emails you send us are retained as long as normal email correspondence typically is, and can be deleted on request (see below).

Your rights

We handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), where applicable. Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply to you, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain information about personal information we hold about you. Since this site collects very little identifiable information in the first place, most requests can be resolved simply — email collab@arturstone.com and we'll respond.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

YouTube videos and links to other sites

Some project pages show episodes from YouTube. Until you press play, the page only shows a preview image served from this site — your browser doesn't connect to YouTube and no YouTube cookies are set. When you press play, the video loads from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube's own privacy policy applies to what happens in the player.

This site also links out to YouTube. Once you leave https://arturstone.com, that site's own privacy policy applies — we're not responsible for how third-party sites handle your information.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time as the site changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
