2001 Subaru Forester
Parked for five years. Time to put this Forester back on the road.
The story so far
This Forester had been parked more than five years and was under moss, mould and outdoor growth. The owner needed it gone fast and let it go for $500. This time I refused to spend another $500 on a tow truck: I would only buy it if I could get it running and drive it home myself. The 2.5L naturally aspirated engine and manual gearbox show ≈400,000 km. Whether that drive home actually happened — and whether a Forester with that mileage can be sold on again — is part of the story being put together for the channel.
